FERTAN can be applied on slightly rusted, heavily rusted, and even bare metal surfaces, yielding a protective effect that withstands the test of time. Formulated with environmental protection in mind, this water-based solution requires the treated area to be clean—free from dirt, oil, grease, and silicone, but not necessarily rust-proof.

In cases of extremely thick rust layers, exceeding 5 mm, a second application may be required to achieve desired results. For best performance, apply FERTAN in temperatures above 5 °C and allow it to work for approximately 24 to 48 hours. Always ensure to clean the surface with water before completing the treatment.
