The improved pulling power / acceleration and speed of the innovative but tried and tested J. Costa variator concept is perfect for maxi scooters. The patented variator is also relatively easily tuned to suit large scooters.
The existing motor power is not affected.
The J Costa variators use special J. Costa weights which glide instead of the standard rolling type which assists with the variator to open linearly and is the 'secret' to the improved performance. All in all the kit provides quicker acceleration at lower revs and higher ratio at top providing increased top end speed.
