The assignment of the AC input is very simple, there are no possibilities to reverse the polarity here. Connect the `+` output of the direct current output with the positive pole of the battery. Connect the output to the vehicle body or the negative pole of the battery.

NOTE
The rectifier provides the DC current required for battery charging. It has no voltage regulator function, i.e. it cannot reduce 12Volt to 6Volt or similar.
It should also only be used with the original self-regulating alternator systems (such as the vehicles listed above), in which the alternator only produces as much power as is required by the vehicle. Modern alternators (e.g. type Vespa PX) produce a very high excess power (at full throttle over 40Volt) which would destroy any battery immediately.
